2008 Long Beach State Basketball Recruiting Information


Winchedon School (6'4" 185, Freshman)

SG - Larry Anderson

College Hoops IQ says:

Anderson averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals for Winchedon Prep during the 2007-08 season. In the process Anderson received: First-Team All-NEPSAC honors, along with being named MVP at the Hargrave Invitational and the New Jersey Classic. Anderson played his high school ball locally for Long Beach Jordan.

William Howard Taft High School (6'6" 215, Freshman)

PF - Eugene Phelps

College Hoops IQ says:

Phelps shot close to 75 percent from the floor, and averaged 11.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game as a senior at William H Taft High School. One of Phelps best high school performances came against Jrue Holliday and Campbell Hall, when he scored 23 and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Saint Thomas More School (6'7" 215, Freshman)

SF - TJ Robinson

College Hoops IQ says:

As a senior, Robinson averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists per game for Saint Thomas More Prep. In addition, Robinson's play earned him MVP honors at the Hall of Fame Prep School Tournament this past season.

Westchester High School (7'0" 225, Freshman)

C - Mike Vantrimpont

College Hoops IQ says:

After graduating from Westchester High School, Vantrimpont took his game to Europe and played the last two seasons in a French junior league. During the 2007-08 season, Vantrimpont averaged 6 points, 4 rebounds and 5 blocks per game as a member of Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez. Although seven feet tall, Vantrimpont is new to the game of basketball and has only played organized ball for five years.

Gahr High School (5'8" 170, Freshman)

Ware received numerous awards and honors following his junior season at Gahr High School,including: First-Team All-CIF Division I-AA, First-Team All-San Gabriel Valley League and co-Player of the Year honors in the San Gabriel League. Through January 9 of his senior season, Ware was averaging 20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals per game.
